My work can be grouped into 3 categories: Strategic Design, Product Design, and work with Technology. As these largely overlap the majority of my project fall into multiple of these categories and all feature a technological aspect.

Design, Technology and Innovation

I am a Strategist, Designer and Technologist, with experience in leading projects, shaping product strategy and vision. I couple lateral and systems thinking with an ease of experimenting with technology, effectively tackling and solving diverse problems with an inventive, paradigm shifting approach.

I am a systematic problem solver, from high-level strategic challenges for clients as an innovation consultant, to addressing user needs with technology as a designer. With a commercial acumen, I approach problems strategically, within the scope of commercial feasibility and viability.

Sleevenote Player

Sleevenote is a unique premium music player that allows you to experience your music collection as a rich art-led experience. The Sleevenote player is inspired by the way we used to listen to vinyls while taking in the cover art. Artwork is presented using the whole screen, creating a focussed experience for the albums you love.

Command Center

Phoenix Space Command Centre is a physical computing kit, designed to teach kids principles of coding and engineering through fun space science-themed experiments.

Grey Consulting

As an innovation and strategy consultant at Grey Consulting I preformed analysis of potential clients and their respective markets, to identify insights and opportunity areas for development into project proposals. The goal was to deliver disruptive thinking for large clients, ranging from the Financial Sector, Social Enterprises, to the Food Industry.

SAIC

A project for Shanghai Automotive (SAIC) in partnership with the Intelligent Mobility Design Center (IMDC), identifying bottlenecks in China’s car sharing platforms, redesigning the experience within the cultural context. An analysis of Chinese trends and driving habits and an in-depth assessment of China’s sharing economy.

Wires Glasses

Wires Glasses is a company that merges high end fashion with state of the art technology, creating modular, sustainable eyewear. Wires utilises additive manufacturing technologies to reduce waste, simultaneously achieving much greater flexibility in production, allowing to dynamically cater to consumer demand.

Kodama

Kodama, a 3D mouse, is a system that allows for intuitive manipulation and interaction with 3 dimensional digital content. Think of it as a Wacom tablet with the third dimension, you move the controller and the same thing happens on screen.

Relativ

Relativ is a robotic deployable structure, capable of dynamically adapting to conditions or needs, compared to traditional deployable structures that only exist in two states: open and closed.

Kodama Games

Kodama was launched with a selection of games targeting kids of different age groups, enabling them to harness the power of 3D creation, be it a 3D colouring book, tools for creating 3D animations, or the ability to build complex 3D structures.

Spot Check is an app that utilises existing city infrastructure such as traffic cameras, in combination with computer vision to direct you to a parking spot with the highest probability of being available.

Phoenix Space App

Part of Phenix Space, a Science and Technology program for refugee children who don’t have access to formal education. The app uses the theme of space exploration and Augmented Reality experiences to communicate the outcomes of the programme, targeting a wider audience through fun and engaging content, illustrating refugee migration trends and debunking myths which tend to cause hate and skepticism towards refugees.

Population Tracking

This project aims at mapping the daily population distribution within a city, and does so by reducing the amount of data required. This system allows for an optimised ambulance distribution based on where people actually are at a given moment, allowing to reduce response times.

Jason Bruges

Jason Bruges Studios is a studio renowned for designing interactive spaces which tie together the world of architecture and interaction design. At JBS I designed and implemented immersive experiences, intended to captivate, entice and guide viewers.

Kodama Tech

Kodama works on the basis of a patented, non-optical 3D tracking technology. The system consists of a mat with embedded sensors that allow to trilaterate the position of controllers in 3D space, and use this information of a variety of digital experiences.

AR Headset

I can never remember the names of people i just meet... so wouldn't it be convenient to have a pair of glasses that could show me the name of whoever I am talking to?

This was the inspiration for this project, but more importantly it is an excuse to experiment with Augmented Reality and Heads-Up display Technology.

Aura

The aim of AURA was to re-define the food storage experience, to make it more pleasant for the user, and to have an impact on the food waste problem.

AURA uses lighting to bring out the natural beauty and aesthetic in food, creating a curated storage experience.

Inflatable Shelter

Inspired by the design of an igloo, this inflatable tent provides a robust shelter agains the harshest conditions. The spherical dome forms a rigid structure able to withstand the roughest winds. The double layer, air pocket insulated panels, stop the cold from creeping in.

Auxetic Skin

Cover designed for the Relativ deployable structure. It has to have the ability to deform and morph along with the structure, while still providing rigidity and waterproofing. It was designed to be visually camouflaged into its surroundings, but at the same time let through natural light.

3D Scanner

3D scanning is widely used throughout a variety of industries, but such devices come with a very high price tag. The goal of this project was to build a low cost system, which in the end came down to under $ 100.

Phoenix Space

A Science and Technology program for refugee children who don’t have access to formal education. The finale of the program will be the launch of a CubeSat satellite with an interactive art installation to attract audience engagement to the original issue.

Milli

Milli is an analog robot mimicking a millipede. This project was an immersion into biomimetics, aiming at reproducing the sinusoidal gate of the animal.
